I use
A -> gas
Z -> brake
Left -> left
Down -> right

Exactly the same here so nothing odd for me. I used to use comma and dot for left and right. I resently found out i should use left and down (indeed for the index finger) from the arrowkeys because of the 3 key-error. After a year playing i finaly did my first donut this weekend Itwasntme <<< n000000b Nonono

RE: [Stadium] Lesson 0 - Preperations
For me it all started with Microprose/Geoff Crammonds' - F1 Grand Prix World circuit.
(later on parts 2, 3 and 4 ofcourse)
It's also a more healthy way to sit behind ur keyboard.

A = throttle, Z = brake, COMMA = left, DOT = right. These settings were pretty much forced in that good old classic.

An other way to race with your keyboard when shifting gears is needed is

S = throttle, X = brake, D = gear up, A = gear down, COMMA = left, DOT = right.

Just some adittional info, not realy needed with this game Smile

Same here. ^^
But now i changed comma , dot to left, down

EDIT: Bought a gamepad today and I have to admit that a gamepad is better. Smile

i use a steering wheel =] and iv clouted my elbow a good few times =]. i recon its more fun with a wheel, u can imagine ur in a car then

i play with keys late at night if my mum stays over, she still comes in and tells me to go to bed ¬¬. but with keys iv noticed im alot slower, its not as smooth as a wheel or pad as when u tap to turn its jolty and sudden unless u tap real fast and make like 100th of a second difference in holding times its to tricky. wheel all the way, plus a sor elbow

For the powerslide I use "Z" to brake, when no powerslide needed I tend to fall back on the down arrow key.

How do you assign 2 diffrent keys for braking?

Go in game/profile/inputs. Select brake and press the key you want to use and it will keep the down key as a second brake key

I also use a steering wheel. It just feels more like driving to me! The paddle shifters are well-placed for use as throttle and brake.

The game is tough on hardware, though... I've had to replace the potentiometer in my wheel a couple of times now. That's a nice little DIY project.
